• Rigid, hair & cloth simulations in Maya and Zeno (ILM proprietary software)
Responsible for setting up and running rigid and cloth simulations with
various force fields in combination to produce convincing realistic motion.
Set up included making viable collision objects and balancing forces.
Where required, additional animation had to be done after simulations.
Much of my task on Transformers 2 was mayhem and destruction. Many
pieces had to break into pieces during simluation. Sometimes this required
fracturing the geometry into smaller irregular pieces or using shape tools.
I also did some rigging and enveloping.
