“To Whom It May Concern, As president of Aeronet Communications Corporation, I have known and worked with Laura Killmaster since 1999. We have worked together on a number of graphic design and animation projects related to web sites produced by my company. I have always found working with Laura to be a great pleasure. She makes it easy to complete projects by providing great ideas and solutions to issues critical to each project.The greatest thing about working with Laura is her ability to create and inspire creativity while managing a team of colleagues as well as the client. Laura recently completed a series of illustrations, which she worked on together with another illustrator. Before creating these illustrations, Laura met with my client and me to brainstorm and develop a clear direction. Laura managed to create a clear direction for this project from different and in some cases, contradictory input from the client. She enabled us to understand several good alternative directions, which were presented in a positive and clear fashion. In the end, the client felt more solid about his desires and expectations for the illustration work. When the illustrations were delivered, the client was quite pleased. Each illustration was developed with creativity and style, and incorporated the requirements Laura and I established with the client. During our presentation, Laura explained the various illustrations with respect to their benefits and unique qualities. She made it easy for the client to make decisions as we continued the creative process. I look forward to every opportunity to work with Laura. She has a great sense of aesthetics, she understands technology and technical issues, and she succeeds in communicating with clients and team members. On top of it all, Laura is very organized and professional. I feel comfortable working with Laura in just about any capacity. “To whom it may concern:
I had the pleasure of meeting Laura Killmaster last year when a producer colleague asked me to find a Flash designer/animator to collaborate with us on an ambitious project for his client, the Emeryville company LeapFrog. Laura joined us for a project that started out as a fairly straightforward assignment to produce a web-based tutorial for teaching the use and benefits of the LeapFrog school training system, but which turned into a eight-month-plus education in corporate politics that would put the patience and skills of us all to an amazing test. Were it not for Laura’s talents, technical skills, total professionalism and good humor amid an extraordinary (and seemingly endless) series of miscommunications, direction changes and corporate confusion I honestly don’t think we would have survived. Instead we produced a result that was an unmitigated success. Through it all Laura acted as much more than just a Flash animator, though she performed that role beautifully; she was also key in designing the entire look and feel of the piece, which had to embrace much earlier LeapFrog work while at the same time achieving a simpler, cleaner and more up-to-date look.
The best part of this experience was much more than the good work we managed to produce; it was meeting Laura and keeping her as a friend. I have since recommended her to others several times and look forward to doing more work with her in the future.

“Greetings !
As a Visual Effects Art Director at Industrial Light + Magic, I have known Laura Killmaster, and have considered her a close friend for more than 7 years. We have had the opportunity to work together on a few projects. Every occasion was collaborative, energetic and enjoyable.
We brain-stormed together over my personal website, and in addition to lending her extensive awareness and understanding of the whole spectrum of web software, she was very helpful in the formative design aspects. I have always found her opinions and her honest ability to express them, clear and focused.
We recently collaborated on an illustration project in which the client’s wish-list was very broad and ill-defined as to style. Laura compiled a variety of imagery to help focus the discussion, which, in turn, helped to define our own direction. Her initial sketches were warmer than my own, and the clients seemed to agree. I was impressed with her drawing abilities, knowing what to leave out, as well as her polished presentation.
Laura is savvy, organized and possesses an awareness of current technical trends and developments. She has always been receptive to my many technical questions, as well. (How does she KNOW all this stuff ?)
