This is one of those stay up to 2am just exploring and going insane with fun because of  how easy it is to work with Wordpress.  There are a bunch of videos that I keep bookmarked for days when I feel just like crap. I decided to practice up on some Wordpress by building this little site.  I had so much fun, I decided to keep it.  Now I have a place to put these videos and share them from time to time.

The best way for me to learn something is to have an actual project. If I don’t have a project, then I make one up.  I used a theme designed by yinheli.  I really need to study up on some chinese.  Reading Google translated site is very interesting but often time confusing!  There are a lot of features already developed in this theme that I am still scratching my head trying to figure out.

• Rigid, hair & cloth simulations in Maya and Zeno (ILM proprietary software)

Responsible for setting up and running rigid, hair and cloth simulations with various force fields in combination to produce convincing realistic motion. Set up included making viable collision objects and balancing force fields. Where required, additional animation had to be done after simulations. Much of my task on Transformers 2 was mayhem and destruction. Many pieces had to break into pieces during simluation. Sometimes this required fracturing the geometry into smaller irregular pieces or using shape tools. I also did some rigging and enveloping.
